Mobility, urban planning, recycling, vehicle charging and more — these major challenges for green & smart cities were at the heart of this event dedicated to AI–driven solutions.
The event took place in March 2026 at ESSCA's Lyon campus as part of the EUonAIR project, co-funded by the European Union, and followed on from the student hackathon organised in April 2025 at the Paris campus.
Throughout the day, citizens, entrepreneurs, local authority representatives and economic actors were able to:
- Discover the four winning solutions from the hackathon, imagined by committed students
- Challenge them, share user feedback and suggest ways to improve
- Exchange with professionals and experts in digital technologies, urban planning and local authorities on the opportunities offered by AI for intelligent and sustainable territories
