Grande Ecole programme

​​The Shanghai campus welcomes ESSCA students enrolled in the Grande Ecole programme from the 3rd year, as part of the compulsory mobility scheme. Admissions for these students are subject to selective procedures outlined by the School.

On the Grande Ecole programme, you can spend your 3rd year international semester on the Shanghai campus, where you’ll receive comprehensive courses in the Chinese language, as well as business and marketing in China.

If you come to Shanghai for the Grande Ecole programme, you’ll also have access to courses on business and geopolitics in East Asia, as well as brand marketing and distribution in China.

The Shanghai campus welcomes ESSCA students enrolled in the 2nd year of the Bachelor programme. Admissions are subject to selective procedures outlined by the business school.

A TOEFL ITP score of 550 or equivalent is required for non-English speaking applicants. If the main language of instruction at your home university is English, this requirement is waived.

ESSCA’s Shanghai campus offers international mobility opportunities aligned with the standards of a leading European business school.

Students in the Grande École programme can spend their third-year international semester in Shanghai, taking courses in Chinese language, business, marketing and geopolitics in East Asia. This experience provides a strong understanding of the Chinese market and regional business dynamics.

Students enrolled in the Bachelor in International Management can also spend a semester in Shanghai during their second year, gaining exposure to an international learning environment and Asian business practices.

In addition, the campus welcomes exchange students from partner universities, as well as independent international applicants (subject to admission requirements, including English proficiency).
