The School is ranked in the Business Administration category among the 400 best institutions in the world on the subject, along with 18 other French higher education institutions.
For the first time, ESSCA is part of the Shanghai ranking - 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects - carried out every year since 2009 by China's Jiao Tong University.
Released on 11 November 2024, the Shanghai ranking evaluates the commitment of higher education institutions in their research activities across 55 themes, in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences.
Over 1,900 higher education institutions out of 5,000 in 96 countries and regions are included in this ranking, which uses a series of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure their performance in their respective fields at a global level.
The evaluation criteria are divided into 5 main categories:
- World-class faculty
- World-class output
- High quality research
- Research impact
- International collaboration
100% based on research, the Shanghai ranking takes into account articles published in Q1 Web of Science journals, i.e. those published in journals ranked in the top 25 in terms of impact.
ESSCA's entry into this ranking brings evidence of the utmost quality of the intellectual contributions published by its faculty members over the past five years, making ESSCA a world-renowned institution in terms of academic excellence.
