A workshop attended by researchers and practitioners united by a common goal: to better understand the drivers of innovation and to better communicate them to public decision-makers and practitioners.
Co-organised by Élodie JOUNY-RIVIER and Naciba HANED-CHASSAGNON, professors at ESSCA, the 4th edition of the MASCIK workshop was held this year at ESSCA on the Lyon and Angers campuses.
The issue of innovation transcends disciplinary boundaries, and MASCIK gave a platform to diverse voices on a wide range of activities.
Discussions included perspectives on open innovation, cyclists’ experiences in their daily use of bicycles, educational gardens for better food education, resilience of SMEs and territorial resilience in times of crisis, the influence of organisational age on green collaborations, integration of sustainable and collaborative innovation in the insurance sector, and the role of entrepreneurial support mechanisms in the development of start-ups internationally.
Elisa SALVADOR, professor and innovation specialist at ESSCA, received the best paper award for her article “When gastronomy and food are at the service of education for a sustainable future: the School Garden Model in Denmark” co-authored with Jesper STRANDGAARD and Sophie Marie CAPPELEN (Copenhagen Business School).
To conclude, a round table was dedicated to open and collaborative innovation practices with passionate speakers:
- Fabien DWORCSAK, Professor of Neuroscience, Sciences Po Lyon
- Kelig EVEN, Innovation and Collective Intelligence Consultant
- Julie FRANCON, Marketing and Commercial Project Manager
- Robin EME, Editor-in-Chief, Survey Magazine
