This pool of instructors includes leading researchers, academic experts and business professionals with at least 10 years’ experience. Our technical experts, all skilled in customised learning approaches, are the pedagogical advisors for our training programmes. Whether they are full-time professors at ESSCA or external lecturers, they are called upon to lead the courses (whether short or customised) after a demanding and thorough application and selection process that involves several stages:
- Completed application form
- Completed ESSCA mini-CV
- Online interview, followed by a face-to-face interview with the Academic Coordination and Operations team
- Presentation by the potential course instructor of previous projects: articles, interviews, training materials, training topics covered, etc.
- Immersion in a real-life training scenario with the academic coordination and operations team; during a short training session (1h30), the instructor is assessed on their ability to run an adult course (andragogy), as well as on their technical or business expertise. It also enables us to assess the practical dimension of the training and its actual delivery, as well as the contribution of concepts relating to the course topic.
Once selected, instructors are regularly trained by our in-house training centre, IPA (Institut de Pédagogie Avancée), to ensure that they maintain a high level of expertise in delivering adult training courses.
