ESSCA School of Management co-organised the 14th France-Indonesia Joint Working Group in Angers, alongside Université d'Angers and the Embassy of France in Indonesia (Ambassade de France en Indonésie, au Timor oriental et auprès de l'ASEAN).

Nearly 300 representatives from around one hundred higher education and research institutions, together with institutional and business stakeholders from both countries, gathered to discuss key issues relating to higher education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Forum took place just a few days after the State Visit to France of Indonesian President Prabowo SUBIANTO, which was marked by the adoption of the Paris Declaration, setting out new ambitions for education, research and mobility between the two countries.

This year's edition was particularly significant, as it marked the first time that a business school had been among the event’s co-organisers, highlighting the growing role of innovation and entrepreneurship in France-Indonesia relations.

Beyond institutional exchanges, the Forum also showcased existing collaborations.
ESSCA continues to expand its academic partnerships, notably through the launch of a dual degree between its Bachelor in International Management and the Bachelor in International Business offered by Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) (ITB), one of Indonesia’s most prominent universities.

Discussions are also underway with Universitas Indonesia with a view to establishing a new partnership.

Indonesia perfectly illustrates the transformations currently reshaping the global higher education landscape. With its leading universities, strong economic momentum and youthful population, the country represents a strategic partner for institutions seeking to educate managers and entrepreneurs capable of thriving in rapidly changing international environments.

Through this Forum, Université d’Angers, ESSCA School of Management and the Institut Français d'Indonésie reaffirm their shared commitment to strengthening academic, scientific and entrepreneurial cooperation between France and Indonesia.
