Focus on Filboost: Music and Cognition Enhancing Learning

ESSCA is innovating with Filboost, a sound immersion device that helps students better understand their concentration and improve their work efficiency.

This programme is based on research in cognition and music to enhance attention, increase efficiency, and reduce stress through original and energising musical atmospheres.

The Learning Support Centre is currently testing this device on the ESSCA campus in Paris.

Year-Round Tutoring

From the 1st year onwards, you’ll have access to individual tutoring through face-to-face meetings with a tutor, who is a member of the teaching team. The topics discussed will relate to your life at the School, such as integration into the year group, analysis of academic results, and finding a work placement.

'Learning to Learn’ Workshops

These workshops aim to get you to think about how you learn, based on different themes such as concentration, stress management, and memory function. They’re designed to help you self-assess your methodological practices. These workshops are complemented by online training, newsletters, and podcasts available to you on the student web portal.

Personalised Coaching

During the first two years, individualised academic assistance is offered to students who are experiencing occasional difficulties in one or more subjects. Specially trained student monitors provide this support, helping you to:

  • Reflect on how you learn and organise your work
  • Overcome occasional difficulties
  • Develop an independent and effective method of working
